The National Museum of the Marine Corps is an tribute to the men and women who have dedicated their lives to the service of America’s elite fighting force. Thousands of artifacts, multimedia presentations, bold graphics, and immersive sets, transport the visitor into the boots of a Marine. Themed galleries chronical the history of the Marines focusing on 3 major wars: World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam. But first you must pass through Making Marines—a day in the life of a Marine in boot camp!

Proun was contracted to oversee the graphic production of the 135 graphic murals that scenically interpret the content of each gallery. Large format photos, illustrations, and dramatic graphics are composed with interpretive text and smaller images to seamlessly integrate with the theatrical sets that make up each scene. proun managed a team of two production artists, coordinated with the content developers, image researchers, and 3D designers, supervised the proofing process with the client, and oversaw fabrication and installation to ensure accuracy and quality.

We completed our scope of work ahead of schedule and under budget.

For the last several months I have had the pleasure of working with Chris Danemayer on the production of the graphic artwork for a major portion of the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, VA. He was responsible for managing the production of the graphic electronic mechanicals for over 125 wall murals. This work encompassed over 250 images and over 350 blocks of copy. His files are extremely well organized and consistent, and show a clear understanding of the file preparation and output processes. He is responsive and thorough bringing a higher level of quality standards to this project. He was able to delivered 80% of the files three months ahead of schedule even after major changes in the script had taken place. As a production manager, I truly appreciate the professionalism and experience that Chris brings to the table.
