Is coral alive? Is it a plant, a fish, or a crustacean? Why do we need coral reefs? These and other questions are addressed in the Coral Reef exhibit at the Minnesota Zoo. Arched bamboo and vibrantly illustrated glass panels create a sense of entry to the exhibit while referencing the beauty of an Indo-Pacific coral reef. Gestural illustrations and sensitive typography reflect the natural elegance of this fragile environment.
