“If they mean to have war, let it begin here!”
On April 19,1775, the long-simmering tension between the American colonies and Great Britain finally boiled over. A brief battle on the Lexington Green marked the start of the American Revolution. The Lexington Visitor Center opposite Lexington Green interprets the battle that sparked the American Revolution. A miniature diorama depicting the scrum that ensued anchors exhibits that interpret the factors that lead to the war and it’s impact on the world. iPads provide intimate views of the battle scene.
